Read for Good sponsored readathon and extreme reading competition Spring 2018

The Learning resource centre and the English faculty have jointly organised two reading initiatives this Spring at Tuxford Academy.

Aimed at year 7's and 8's both initiatives run from World Book Day, March 1 through to Wednesday April 18th  2018.

The Read for Good readathon initiative raises money for books and storytellers in children's hospitals. More information can be found at readforgood.org

Where is the most extreme place your child has ever read a book? Whether it is up a tree, on top of a mountain or standing on their head, we want your photos!

Obviously we encourage you to keep safe, but are really looking forward to seeing who has such a passion for reading that they have to do it anywhere. The extreme reading challenge is to take a picture of your child reading somewhere extreme and send it in to school by Wednesday 18th April 2018.
