The purpose of this survey is to identify those factors which influence the attitude of school staff to their school and to their working experiences (Teaching Staff and Support Staff).
The results from the Support Staff Keele Survery are as follows:
100% would recommend Tuxford School as a good place to work and would recommend the school to friends as a good place to send their children.
95% believe that the school is a safe and secure environment for pupils, whilst the national average is only 68%.
84% think the school is well resourced in respect of books, ICT, facilities and equipment etc.
79% see themselves as a valued part of the school 'team', nationally this figure is only 55%.
95% of the support staff are generally satisfied with pupils' behaviour in the school.
The teaching staff results are as follows:
98% enjoy their work for most of the time, national average is 87%.
74% believe that school has a distinct mission and ethos.
Again 100% (national average 73%) of the teaching staff would recommend the school to friends as a good place to send their children. 96% would recommend it to other teachers as a good place to work. Nationally this is only 82%.
96% say that the school has a good reputation in the local community and 67% agree that staff morale is high.
47% believe that the quality of schooling at Tuxford has improved during the last twelve months.
87% of respondents claim that the school seeks to give every pupil the chance to realise his/her potential and 81% say that the school is committed to involving parents/carers in their children's education.
94% (70% nationally) consider lessons at Tuxford to be motivating and challenging and 81% (57%) believe that classroom control is good.
96% say that pupils are praised and encouraged in their work and that 93% have high expectations of all the pupils.
